Painting of Shane MacGowan, legendary singer-songwriter and musician best known as the original lead vocalist and primary lyricist of The Pogues. His songs often commented on the Irish immigrant experience across the globe.

I saw The Pogues twice, raucous and  brilliant each time. Can still see Shane smashing a metal tray into his face again and again and again and grabbing the wrong mic again and again and again. Total anarchy.

A celtic folk punk hero.
